Murat GÜREL joined the Music Education Department of Bursa Uludağ University in 2005. His master’s thesis provided valuable insight into ornamentation techniques in traditional Turkish music. In 2016 he completed his Ph.D. with the thesis, ‘The Analysis of Nubar Tekyay's Violin Taksims’. He has performed solo recitals and concerts, conducted workshops, and participated in seminars and conferences in 28 countries. Presently, he works as Assistant Professor Doctor at Ondokuz Mayıs University, State Conservatory, Turkish Music Department.
